The bathroom is tiny, but clean, and the shower is mounted so low that tall people will need to hold the handle. There are plenty of places of interest within walking distance if you don't mind a walk. One thing to know: between 8 and 9 in the morning, the cleaning staff gather on the floor for breakfast and conversation, with walkie-talkie chatter too. I assume they don't have another place to meet, but it can wake you. You may find cheaper and better accommodation if you look around.

The rooms are new and clean, and the location near banh thah market is decent. I asked for a late checkout and was told they couldn't do it because the hotel was fully booked. But when I asked about paying for a half-day, that option was available. Didn't feel very honest. I paid and moved on.

The breakfast was the one good part of this stay. I didn't eat it every day, but the food was really nice, and Phuong, who works there daily, was super friendly. I've been staying with A& em Group since 2012, at least once a year except during Covid, so this time was a huge disappointment. Over 11 nights they moved me between three rooms, and the room I ended up in was on the top floor, where only my room, the fitness area, and hotel stores were. It was very hot, the electricity went off in the middle of the night and stayed off until morning, shower water spread all over the bathroom floor, and the door wouldn't lock from inside. When I asked for help, Oanh, the accountant, and Sang at reception answered very rudely. Oanh said it wasn't her responsibility, and her behavior was ridiculous, like she owned the hotel. They didn't change my bedsheets during my 11-night stay, and even the Vietnamese channels on the TV were unclear. I'm extremely angry and don't think I'll come back.

I booked stays at A&EM Corner Hotel in November 2018, February 2019, and August 2019, and each time the front desk staff gave me a warm welcome. The room and toilet area were clean as soon as I arrived. Binh Nguyen, who cleaned my room, was polite and greeted me warmly. Her smile and pleasant manner really stood out. A&EM Hotel is lucky to have her.
