A25 Premium Hotel - 29 Bui Thi Xuan

At breakfast we went through five forks before finding a clean one. The rooms were tiny and worn, nothing like the photos, and we couldn’t even open our luggage properly. My room on the 4th floor was fairly quiet at night, but my friend on the 6th floor said it was extremely loud and couldn’t fall asleep. A lot of the positive reviews here feel fake to me.

After a long walk, already tired and back late in the evening, we were stopped at reception and asked for information we had already provided. The situation turned into threats that we’d be evicted on the spot if we didn’t hand it over immediately, even though it was past 11:00 PM. At check-in, staff hadn’t collected everything, although I was ready to provide it all then. They kept calling through the day for missing details, and we cooperated each time. I later learned the employee was named Thanh. He was rude and arrogant, and didn’t apologize after we supplied everything. Because of the pressure and treatment, we checked out earlier than planned.

The staff are friendly and helpful, and the clean rooms and good facilities make this a place I’d definitely stay at again. It’s also close to the city center.

The bed was comfortable, the mini bar was well stocked, and the bathroom had the essentials. The location was reasonable too. But the hot water was only lukewarm, and the hallway smelled of stale urine while the room smelled moldy. It was noisy all night, with people walking around, talking loudly, banging and knocking on doors, ringing doorbells, and setting off alarms for some strange reason. In the morning, loud music carried to my second-floor room. I was glad it was just one night. I didn’t try the breakfast.
