You’re right among the hustle and bustle, but the nights weren’t loud. The room price is hard to beat, though the photos made the rooms look bigger than they are. Breakfast is included but the options are limited. We stayed three days and got exactly the same food every day, with no heaters to keep it warm, so it went cold fast.

The bed was very comfortable, and the front desk staff were welcoming. Breakfast was decent, with hard boiled eggs, fruit, noodle soup, and some pastries. The rooms were acceptably tidy but not deeply clean, and the whole hotel feels worn and a bit old despite a few decor updates. It’s a standard budget hotel in a busy part of town, and places like this are easy to find. Fine for a night or two, especially if you need to be close to the Sinh Tourist bus office.

The buffet breakfast had a wide selection, and the location in district 1 is great, near shops and a park. I had a single room with a double bed, which was cosy and in a good spot, but it got noisy at night. Sound travelled up the stairs, and with little separation between the rooms and the downstairs lobby, you could hear everything at night and early in the morning.

The staff were very helpful, though not everyone spoke English well, and the rates were reasonable, breakfast included and not too shabby. Our room was small, and some rooms have no windows. We booked a deluxe room with a window, but switched to a slightly bigger regular room. The alley entrance looks narrow and nasty, but don’t let that put you off. It keeps road noise down. The hotel is central, but the road outside is busy and unpleasant to walk along, with heavy traffic and pavements that are cluttered, dirty, and smelly. If you can get past that, it’s a great place for the price.

The place looks a bit rough on the way in because it’s down an alley and can be hard to find, but inside it’s nice. It’s close to the main bars and food markets of Ben Tanh, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Noise wasn’t too bad, and we couldn’t hear anything from outside, though the cleaners were a bit loud in the morning. I’d stay again.
