Asian Ruby Central Park Hotel Spa

The room itself was good, but the reception treatment left us so frustrated that I’d strongly advise against booking here. Our flight landed at 3 a.m.; after waiting at the airport until 5, we went to the hotel hoping at least to wait there if early check-in wasn’t possible. The reception was pitch dark, and the receptionist was asleep on the only sofa. When we knocked, they told us to leave because there was no room. Even after we explained we had a booking, they said to come back at noon. We asked where we could wait, and were told they were sleeping, there was no spare sofa, and we should wait on the road. After a long argument they got up and let us use the sofa, but played loud music so we couldn’t rest. We eventually left, wandered the streets, and came back later to check in. We’d paid in advance and they wouldn’t refund us, so we had no real choice. The hotel has rooms and no other facilities.

Good value, and this was my second time staying here. The rooms are kept clean, and the room service is good. Ban than market is only a short walk away.

The room was dirty, damp, and musty, with an unpleasant smell and a leaky bathroom faucet. The price was unreasonably high, and the service was bad.

A little dated, but the staff and the price were good. I’d stay here again when I’m in the area.
