We had a fab stay at Drop By Saigon. Nana was so lovely and happy to help with anything we needed. The quadruple room was amazing value, and the location was central enough to walk everywhere while still being away from the noise.

The bus 152 takes you to the airport or the hostel. It’s a nice hostel, not too far from the center, with fine rooms and a nice shower. The staff are helpful and respectful, and do everything to make you feel comfortable. The internet could be better. Like in all hostels, take earplugs and a sleep mask.

The owner made the stay. They were welcoming and genuinely helpful with planning outings around Saigon, almost like having a personal concierge. The place is tucked just off a major road, so it was quiet but still easy to get to. The city was about a 20-minute walk away, or 12k VND by Grab. I can't imagine finding a better place to stay here.

Nana made sure I felt safe and had a good time in HCMC. I ended up staying an extra day, and I'd come back when I'm in town again. The hotel was clean and looked after, and breakfast was included and good.

Don't book the double room with a balcony. The walls and ceiling have mould, the bathroom smells bad, and the furniture is scuffed, with graffiti on some of it. For the price, it isn't worth it.
