The rooms were filthy and misrepresented, with mold, and this was one of the worst hotels I’ve seen. When I first entered my room, there was no door lock and the air conditioning wasn’t working. I called the front desk, but the man insisted the door locked and that the AC was blowing cold air. He eventually came up, then yelled that I should just be happy to have a room. I was getting ready to pack up and find another hotel when he offered a different room, which he called an upgrade. Do not stay here.

We were a group of 15, and none of us had a good experience. When I got there, I waited about 20 minutes for a key because my room supposedly wasn’t clean, even though I arrived more than an hour after check-in. Then the door was deadbolted, and staff couldn’t find the key. I waited another 45 minutes while they tried to body slam it open. Afterward, the door wouldn’t lock from inside. The AC didn’t work in any of our rooms. Staff spent over an hour trying to fix it, and after about five hours it came on in some rooms, but never in mine or several others. My shower only dribbled water, and when I tried the bathtub instead, the handle came off in my hand, so I couldn’t turn on the water. I asked for another room because mine had no AC or working water and couldn’t be locked, but they refused. They also wouldn’t refund me so I could find another hotel. I ended up leaving for a different hotel and lost the cost of a three-night booking at the Dyn opera. Nothing at the Dyn Opera seemed functional, the staff weren’t willing to sort things out, and they wouldn’t offer a room swap or refund. There are plenty of good hotels nearby, so I’d choose another one.

The place smelled musty under a strong layer of perfume, and it clearly hadn’t been maintained. There was hair on the bed, along with the problems shown in the pictures. My allergies got bad and I was disgusted, so after only a few minutes I went to check out, even though I’d booked three nights. It was 4 pm, and I said they could charge me for that night if I could get a refund for the remaining two days. They flat out refused. I asked once more, then left without arguing. I don’t usually write bad reviews, but this place was on another level. I’d give it zero stars if I could. Stay away.

Our room was dirty, and the bedding looked like it hadn’t been cleaned at all. The sheets had stains and short hairs, and smelled unwashed. We asked reception to change them while we went to dinner. When we got back, he said he didn’t want to touch our belongings, though none were on the bed. We were left with just a sheet, without mattress or pillow covers, so I used towels and my own pillowcases instead. The shower head had no holder, so we had to hold it ourselves. I wouldn’t book here.

For $56 a night, it was a pretty good deal. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the place had recently been redone, so it looked fresh. The staff were really friendly and even brought us food. The bathtub didn’t work, though the bathroom itself looked nice. I’d call it a three-star hotel and recommend it if you’re on a budget and want somewhere decent in the city.
