I spent five nights at Glenwood City Resort. It was quiet and cosy, and the staff were generally welcoming and friendly. The food was good, though vegetarians should know the menu has only two options. The gym needs attention. Equipment was scattered about and hard to use properly, and the whole space smelled strongly of cigarettes. That could be a problem for guests with asthma or other breathing conditions. At checkout, I was charged £5 ($6) for a towel they said was stained with juice. I knew water wasn't complimentary, but the towel charge surprised me because juice stains are usually removable. I asked why towels used after outdoor sports would be treated differently, but the receptionist couldn't explain the reasoning. The policy felt inconsistent and left a bad impression. The peaceful atmosphere and friendly service give the resort potential, but the gym and towel charge took away from my stay. It could suit a quiet getaway, as long as you know about these issues.

My room and bathroom were clean, and the area was quiet, with a bar and a couple of restaurants nearby. The restaurant bar was nice, and having a convenience store next door was a plus. Staff were friendly, and I felt safe even though the extra door lock in my room was broken. The pool didn't look very appealing, and the gym needs an update. Safe, clean place. We stayed three nights and won't be coming back or recommending the place. We had asked specifically for a DeLuxe Kitchen with Balcony, with plenty of light and possibly a decent view. Instead, the only window and tiny balcony faced a wall less than 30cm away, leaving the room gloomy all day. When we raised it, staff said, "All same!" The location does suit Pickle-ball players, with 4 clubs within 300m. We avoid daily room cleaning and towel changes for environmental reasons. Since our complimentary water wasn't placed in the room, we took four bottles from the fridge instead. At checkout we were charged for them. We pointed out that the fridge water was an equally cheap brand, but staff said those bottles were 50cl and the complimentary ones only 33cl, then told us, "You Pay!" When we asked for a receipt and the four complimentary bottles we hadn't received, staff said the printer was broken and acted as if they didn't understand. We kept calm and left without taking it further.

A very quiet stay, with birds chirping to wake you in the morning. The rooms are large, bright, clean, and well appointed, with a huge bathroom. Newish, and great value for money. They face an indoor patio.

My business partner and I were very disappointed by our recent stay arrangement. I booked for 10 days and called the hotline to ask about accommodation inside Glenwood resort. After that, we discussed apartment options over Zalo. Since my business partner had stayed at Glenwood before, we believed the apartments we discussed were within the resort. The seller quoted a price, and we paid a deposit thinking we'd secured a room there. At check-in, we were sent to a different building called Glenwood Apartment. It was poorly lit, had no security, and was in a very different condition from the resort we expected. The seller hadn't said the apartment was in a separate building. When we raised this, the teller and manager just referred us to the address on the booking confirmation and dismissed our concerns. They then offered us two choices: pay more for a room in the resort we had asked for, or get a refund and leave. I found the situation misleading and extremely unprofessional. We had asked clearly about Glenwood City Resort, and shouldn't have to work out the differences between several properties under the brand. We left feeling unfairly treated, and I hope this is addressed. I also had to wait a day to get my money back. Totally unfair, bad customer service!
