The house is right in central District 1, with a place to rest at night, and the price and location are hard to beat. We weren't expecting a five-star hotel at this price in central HCMC, but it was clean, fresh, and comfortable. The room was big enough for two. Here's the view from the top floor 🌅

The pictures made the rooms look much better than they were in reality. The terrace was just one small table with two chairs for the whole building, and the laundry was there too. I was on the top floor, one floor below the terrace. The tiny window faced the back and looked onto the back of the Aircon. The room got sun all day on two sides. Maybe the front-facing rooms are better, I don't know. There was mould and a spiderweb on the ceiling, a crushed bug on the wall, hair tangled around the shower, and hair in the drawer. The shared kitchen downstairs was in terrible shape, with piles of unwashed plates, dirty surfaces, and bugs crawling around. At least there was an Aircon and a lift. I arrived at 11am and couldn't check in early, but they did let me in at 13:00/13:30, which I appreciate. They asked me to leave my luggage at the front and go when nobody was at the desk, even though anyone could come in from the front. When I raised that, they said, 'dont worry there are security cameras '. Honestly, I don't recommend staying here.

The owner has a great personality and was very helpful. Rooms are a little small, but that's what I expected for $13. The location is great, with lots of places within walking distance, about 1-2 km, and the neighborhood isn't that bad. If you're staying in Ho Chi Minh, I'd recommend this place.

For the price, this is a great deal. The little rooms are clean, and there's a lift and a kitchen area. It's centrally located too. Definitely recommend it.
