Le Ngan Phung Hotel by OYO Rooms

It's in an alley in the Phan Xich Long area, but the road is wide enough for cars to get in and out comfortably. The room was clean and fully equipped, and the staff were cheerful.

The room itself was okay, but service from the morning shift on February 22nd was poor. The staff member seemed grumpy and greedy, and I felt his behavior was costing the hotel business. He's old, so I doubt he'll learn better service or change his ways. They need to replace the receptionist or the hotel could close soon.

I was so disappointed. The photos don't match what you get: my room was filthy, the sheets had stains, and the bathroom was disgusting, with cobwebs everywhere. Noise from the school opposite started at 6 a.m., making it impossible to sleep. They also tried to charge me another 50,000 because I left at 12:05 p.m. instead of noon, and I refused. Honestly, this was the worst hotel experience of my life. Don't go.

The smell in the place was bad, and opening the window didn't help. The floor clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time, with hair and other debris all over it. We also had to keep the door locked because it would otherwise open again, and the elevator kept ringing. Reception barely spoke to us. It's quite cheap by Ho Chi Minh City standards, but we wouldn't book again. Having a window was a plus after we'd previously stayed somewhere without one, though these windows were darkened, as if the room might have been used for other purposes.
