Little Brick Saigon Hotel

The dorm itself turned out fine, with at most three beds, so it felt a bit like sharing with housemates. I enjoyed staying here. I gave it three stars because Expedia's ad showed a $12 room, but when we arrived the clerk pointed to the fine print saying it was a dormitory.

The staff were warm and helpful, and the security guard at the entrance has a great sense of humor. My room was older, which added to the charm, but it was very clean. It was spacious, had a window overlooking part of the nearby park, and came with a private bathroom, fridge, television and comfortable bed. It cost about $45 Australian per night. The shower pressure was low, though it was still easy enough to shower. The hotel is fairly central, with plenty of food, drinks and tours nearby, while sitting away from the party strip. A short walk also takes you to lovely parkland and a sculpture garden, a nice place to recharge after the busy streets. It's an affordable, quiet hotel with an older style. I can't say if it's the best value, but for only a few dollars more than some places I stayed in Saigon, it was great in my book.

I've stayed here twice in a top-floor dorm, which has a nice view. The room and curtained bed were clean, and they provide a towel, shower gel and toothbrush. There's also a personal locker. The staff were super helpful, and they kept my bag for a week for a small fee. The location is perfect.

For what it costs, I was completely satisfied. I stayed three nights in a superior room. It was very clean and had all the necessary amenities, though the furniture was old, which was fine with me. The friendly staff did room service every morning, and there was motorbike parking in front. The hotel is right in the center, with lots of restaurants, convenience stores and food streets around.
