The reception lady seemed nice, and there’s plenty of local food nearby. The location is superb. You get what you pay for here, so it suits adventurous travellers more than entitled tourists or traveller wannabes. My room smelled of cigarettes, although the linens smelled fresh from the laundry, maybe with a little too much fabric conditioner. The room was dated but generally clean enough, and the AC was cold. I couldn’t get hot water from the shower, which felt freezing in the cloudy, rainy weather in SGN. It was a little noisy during the day, as is common in many SGN hotels, but the streets quiet down after about 10 pm.

The owner gave me a free upgrade when I arrived and was really helpful. The staff are lovely and hospitable, and will go the extra mile. There are quite a few travellers around, as it’s right opposite the Mobylette. It’s not a luxury place, so don’t expect lots of extras like toiletries, but it was perfect for my short stay in Saigon.

I spent about two weeks here. The room was huge for such a cheap price, and they speak English well. The location was really good, close to Buivien walking street, a large park, Traveler's street, a traditional market, and cheap, delicious restaurants. There’s a theater right next door, and sometimes the loud practice makes it noisy. Still, it was a good experience. Thanks, everyone.

One night was enough for us. The toilet leaked all over the bathroom and seemed to spill more water after flushing. There was lots of hair on the floor when we arrived, and the WiFi in the room didn't work properly. When we asked about compensation, they weren't helpful. They only offered us a discount if we stayed longer, which we didn't want to do. I'd recommend staying somewhere else.
