OYO 866 Huong Lan 2

This was terrible. I’d planned to become a regular because my mother and child are studying nearby for two years, but I’m not coming back. Uncle 7 was nice; the other male staff member had a nasty attitude. The older gentleman was also quite friendly. My first stay was basic: no refrigerator or water heater, just a shower and somewhere to sleep. I checked out four hours late, though I left an hour earlier than expected, and they charged 500k. A young girl returned my change when I brought the key down. For my second visit, they said all the single rooms were taken, so I got a double. I told the manager I’d be there from 7 am to 4 pm and paid 300k up front. I left at 1 pm, but another staff member then said it was 60k or 70k or something. My mom asked why they’d quoted 300k that morning, and the staff wouldn’t return the difference, saying we’d already paid. They told me not to pay in advance next time. I was annoyed, but told my mom to leave without arguing. The third time, we didn’t pay in advance and were considering another hotel, but this one was near our school. The owner quoted 400k for the night, with extra if we stayed longer, which I agreed to. He handed us a key for room 302 but called it 303. I went upstairs without checking the key and found the door open. A little later, two women came up saying they had the wrong room, then a cleaner said the same about us. I suggested swapping keys, and everyone agreed happily. It seemed the women had left their car keys downstairs. When a man came up to return them, he saw us switching rooms and knocked with a really unpleasant expression. That put me off staying, so I went down to pay and leave. He asked for 400k, and I said I wasn’t staying overnight, so why that price? The cleaner called Uncle 7, who charged me 250k. Terrible experience.
