Rosa Hotel & Spa

Our group of four had foot massages at the Rosa Spa branch inside "The One Premium Hotel" - Goi Dau (29 Thủ Khoa Huân). All the therapists were wearing Rosa Spa uniforms. We were quoted 250k VND per person for an hour at the entrance, but the service didn’t justify that price. They kept checking their phones and weren’t focused. Even after we asked repeatedly for firmer pressure, the massages were very weak and ineffective. At the end, they directly asked each of us for a 60k VND tip. Be cautious about this particular location.

We walked in for the spa, and I’d skip it. My friend’s back waxing was the worst, leaving lots of hairy patches even though he doesn’t have much hair. The woman refused to fix them until we kept pestering her. My pedicure was so-so, with no foot soak or cuticle removal, and the tools looked unsanitized, though I hope they were clean. The ladies were very nice, which makes this review a bit sad to write, and I hope they improve the service. We were going to leave about a 20% tip, but they pressured us for at least 100k, the price of the pedicure. That would have been a 100% tip. We managed to leave 50k for each lady.

The room was clean, and both reception and housekeeping were professional. But the mattress was extremely firm, the hot water pressure was weak and never got properly hot, and noise near the elevator could be a problem for light sleepers. It stayed loud during my stay. The breakfast buffet was where things really went wrong. A waitress made rude comments about me in front of me, assuming I wasn’t Vietnamese, without realizing I understood every word. It upset me and felt disrespectful and unprofessional. She also openly flirted with a male guest who looked old enough to be her father while she was working, which felt inappropriate and far outside normal professional behavior. The hotel is clean and the front desk is great, but the staff member’s conduct and lack of comfort in the room really hurt my stay.

I can only speak about the spa. The massage was disappointing, with inadequate pressure and no noticeable change afterward. Being asked for a tip after that didn’t feel good.
