Secret Garden Hotel Ben Thanh

I booked two different rooms, and the photos were accurate. The beds were very good, the rooms were clean, and the TV was good too. Staff were really friendly and service minded, especially for such a great price. I’m glad I stumbled across this hotel in a little alley. I’d recommend it 100%. Phillip (Scandinavian)

The location is great, and the price felt fair. I liked the furniture and thought the place was interesting, though cleanliness could be better. There was a smell coming from the shower drain.

The location was good, but the rest of our stay was awful. We arrived at 10pm after travelling from Cambodia and had no signal that day, so we hadn’t seen their messages. They told us there was no room for us, then managed to prepare one, but we had to wait another 20 minutes. The lobby was narrow, and three motorbikes were parked in a way that blocked us from wheeling our suitcase to reception. The staff just watched and didn’t offer help. The room was only acceptable, with dirt and cobwebs visible when you looked closely. The staff were unfriendly, and this was by far the worst place we stayed on our trip. I’d skip this dump.

One of my favourite places I’ve stayed so far. The staff were so lovely and accommodating, and I was really happy there :~))
