The staff made this stay especially memorable. Thanks to CANH, CHLOE, MINT, PHOEBE, ALICE, LEAN and ALEX for being so welcoming, and we hope we got your names right. My wife and I spent 4D3N at THE HIDEOUT last week, and we'd love to see you again soon. We liked how the hostel felt calm in the morning and afternoon, then lively at night when the in-house bar became a party spot. Guests get 2 free beers each evening from 7-8pm, and the Pub Crawls run three times a week and are worth trying. It was easy to get around on foot, with food and coffee places to try, clothing shops and streets nearby, and Bui Vien Street for an evening stroll. The rooms and shared areas were clean and looked after, WiFi worked throughout, and luggage storage was available both before check-in and after checkout if you had a later flight.

The pool table was the nicest one I've played on anywhere in Vietnam, and they even run a tournament on it. The free pub crawl happens three times a week, with a shot at each bar, and it's a fun way to meet people. The staff are really cool and made my stay a lot more enjoyable. I wish I'd had the chance to thank them in person.

The bar was excellent, and my clean bed, polite roommates, and knowledgeable staff made it a nice hostel stay. Backpackers passing through Ho Chi Minh City would probably be happy here.

The free beers for an hour each day were a nice way to meet people. It's a social hostel in a really good spot in Saigon, and the rooms and beds were great. I'd definitely come back!

John Styx was the reason I ended up joining three pub crawls. He's fun and genuine, and made everyone feel welcome. I'm not naturally extroverted, but he helped me enjoy the trip in a way I hadn't before. Meeting the other travelers was great too. The hostel itself was clean and comfortable, with excellent facilities and a perfect location. Highly recommended.
