That rooftop terrace is a great spot for coffee, with wide views across about 270 degrees, and Lenabena Spa is another big reason I keep coming back. You can get to the spa straight from the hotel, and I make a point of going each visit. I use truc huyen hotel as my base whenever I’m in Ho Chi Minh City, usually for a week, with weekend trips elsewhere starting and ending there. The rooms are extremely clean, and the staff are courteous and attentive. It’s across from a beautiful park, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Very affordable and great value. Highly recommended.

There’s a lovely park right across the road, with some equipment for working out, and a rooftop café-restaurant that serves excellent food. The place is quiet and feels safe, with shops close by. The owners are very helpful, and all the staff are really nice. Rooms are clean and tidy, with different options for different budgets, including monthly rentals. Excellent service.

The huge park right in front is a nice place to relax or exercise, and there’s a restaurant on site for food and drinks whenever you need them. My room was clean and nice, the price was fair, and the service was friendly and prompt. Great for either a short visit or a longer stay. Highly recommended.

The biggest plus for me was Lenabena, a little spa on the same property. Mrs Lee owns it and makes all the products herself, formulated for sensitive skin. There’s a wide choice, including hair washes, facials, neck and shoulder or back massages, full body massages, manicures and pedicures. After a long week, getting a facial and neck and shoulder massage, then walking about 10 steps to the elevator to go home, was hard to beat. I’m definitely coming back. I stayed for a month at Truc Huyen Hotel, which has three floors of rooms and a restaurant on the top floor. It’s a quiet, safe four-storey place, and the balconies look out over a cute park that stays lively throughout the day. The location worked well for me too. ATMs, coffee shops, convenience stores and stationery shops are within a 15-minute walk, and AEON mall is about a five-minute ride by GRAB or Bee. My room was neat and clean, with a double bed, bar fridge, teapot and two mugs, cupboard with hangers, bathroom, desks, mirror, aircon, TV and a window. They also provided two bath towels and two hand towels. Laundry and meals made to your preference are available for an extra charge. Guests get two small cold bottles of water each day. The lobby is clean and spacious. A friendly concierge greets you at the entrance; inside, there are couches to the left, a small shelf with essentials and treats for sale, then the elevator. The reception desk is on the far right, past a fridge selling water and drinks. The main receptionist, Linh, is the hardest-working and most patient receptionist I’ve met. Requests were answered within 15 minutes, and after a long day I’d come “home” to her excited smile and “Hello.” She didn’t know English, but Google Translate worked well and she was brilliant at avoiding misunderstandings. The other receptionist is a friendly gentleman who takes pride in greeting guests with a big smile and a “Hello.” The owner, who lets me call her Mrs Lee, is friendly, patient and hardworking. She and her family live on the premises, and she and her husband are bilingual, which was a huge relief as an expat.

The family who own this hotel are lovely, and my room was clean. I especially liked that it’s right in front of a peaceful parc.
