Grand Ninh Binh Legend Hotel

We had a great stay and really liked the location, especially the quiet evenings. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the old town and river, and I’d give it five stars.

I’ve been coming back a few times each year for years, mainly to see customers nearby. The team is friendly and willing to sort things out for you, and the rooms are clean and pleasant. There’s a great sky bar too. Room prices are low for this rural area, while food and drink are around normal hotel prices.

The hotel and restaurant were nice, but the spa treatment was easily the worst massage of our trip. My husband, two friends, and I have had four massages at different hotels on this vacation. The therapists here seemed poorly trained, with random movements that didn’t do much, and they were a bit careless about our privacy. We paid for an hour and got only about 45 to 50 minutes.

The sky bar was good, and my room was clean, but the shower temperature was very hard to control and the wifi was slow. The restaurant seems set up for big groups, so I wouldn’t recommend the buffet dinner. There aren’t many alternatives in Ninh Binh. I wouldn’t call this a five-star hotel. For me, it’s around 3.5 stars, four at most.
