The owner personally looks after the property and is kind, helpful, and funny. Every day he waters the flowers, cleans the pool, and checks that things are in order, but never gets in your way. I had a problem with my room after the first night and was able to switch quickly and easily. I’d suggest choosing a Deluxe room or one of the slightly larger cottages. Breakfast is included until 9:30 a.m.; I only tried it on my first morning, and it kept me going all day. The homestay is on a quiet side street near the edge of Tam Coc, about a 15-20 minute walk from the center. It’s a lovely, peaceful spot that still feels central. If I come back to Tam Toc, I’ll stay here again. Tip: turn left onto the main road to watch the sunrise over the rice fields starting at 5:30 p.m.

We felt at home with the family who runs the place. They were kind, flexible, and helpful, so we never had to worry about planning our schedule. Breakfast was made fresh each morning with seasonal produce and fresh bread. We visited in December, so we couldn’t use the pool, though I imagine it’s lovely in summer. There are chickens nearby too, which gave us a funny natural alarm. This was one of our best stays in Vietnam. It’s just beyond Tam Coc’s busy, touristy center, but still perfectly located.

The owners are fantastic, and the bungalows are great. You can walk to everything, or rent a bike and explore, which is well worth doing. Highly recommend this place.

The bamboo room had everything I needed, and I slept really well in this small, quiet, peaceful place near beautiful nature. The owners are warm and welcoming. I especially loved the breakfast, since I like having sweet food in the morning. Definitely recommended. If I return to ninh binh, I’ll stay here again. Thank you!!
