The rooms were clean and had everything I needed. It’s close enough to the center to get around, but the neighborhood itself isn’t too crowded or hectic. The staff were friendly and helpful, knew good places to eat, and one of them even helped me fix my bike. I’d recommend staying here.

The staff were friendly, spoke English, and the Wi-Fi worked. The location was handy, about 20 minutes from the citadel and a 15-minute walk to the night market and center. The fan ran, though it needed fixing. They gave us bottled water on arrival, and the scooter rental at 100,000 dong was a good price. Bus tickets were reasonably priced too. Still, we expected more from a place rated 8.3 and came away disappointed. Our first room was a little dirty, and cleaning needs to cover more than just the floor. It was also old and needed repairs to things like the fan, tap, and toilet. The hot water didn’t work, so we were told to shower in another room. If I wanted to use someone else’s bathroom, I wouldn’t have booked a private one. We asked to switch rooms the next day, and they did move us. Hotels and hostels should check that their rooms are in good condition, no matter the price. People shouldn’t excuse a dirty, worn-out room by saying it was cheap or that you get what you pay for. Cheap places can still be clean and equipped properly; basic doesn’t have to mean old and dirty. We’d stayed in cheap but clean places with fans and AC throughout the rest of our trip. The staff are very nice, but that alone doesn’t make the hotel great. It’s an okay place to stay if you think of it as a 7/10 and set your expectations there.

The room was okay, though it had a little mold. Staff were warm and helpful, giving us an overview of the city and offering tours at the best prices. There was hot water for making tea or coffee, and we enjoyed our stay.

I liked my first stay enough to return for a second visit. The owner was helpful and explained everything clearly. I rented a motorbike for three days to ride to Hoi An, and it worked out great. Prices are cheap, and the place is near the center. I’d recommend it.

The photos bore little resemblance to what we found. The double room was cheap at $7, but the bed, pillow, blanket, and bathroom were dirty. The road to the hostel was full of potholes and very deserted. I wouldn’t come back. Not recommended.
