The receptionist was friendly, and the shower was hot with clean towels, which was all we needed after a busy day in HCMC before our international night flight. But the room was hideous, with a strange jumble of furniture that belonged at a dump. There’s no way we would have stayed overnight, and I’d caution anyone against booking it for a night’s sleep. Booking.com said it was very close to Terminal 2, but the drive took over 30 minutes.

A great little hotel, though some of the rooms are run-down and need work, especially on the second floor.

This was a very basic hotel, but the room was really the pits. On arrival, I was given a shabby room with no bed linen, pillows bursting out of their covers, a broken TV, and a sink leak that flooded the bathroom floor. There were no tea or coffee facilities either. I asked for a different room and at least got one with bed linen. When my partner and I came back at 10:00 p.m., we asked for water. I took two bottles from the fridge and the receptionist waved us on, so I thought they were free. At checkout the next morning I learned they cost Đ25,000 each, even though two bottles next door would have been Đ10,000. Never again!

Restaurants are easy to find nearby, though the city center is a long way off, so it may not suit you if you want entertainment close by. The airport is only about 2 km away.
