Gardenia Hue Hotel

We had a great stay at the Gardenia Hue Hotel. The bed was very comfortable, and you can refill the reusable water bottle anytime on certain floors. The bathroom still works, but it has seen better days. The tile grout and shower head could use refreshing. The staff took wonderful care of us and our baby. They were warmer and friendlier than at any other hotel we've stayed at in Hue over the past few years. Breakfast had a small buffet, plus 6-7 dishes made to order. We especially liked the Bun Bo Hue and omelette, and the buffet fruit was great too. The hotel has rooms on floors 2-8. About half have balconies and face the street. Those rooms are generally bigger than the ones facing the backyard. The central location at the start of the walking street comes with some noise, though, and the outside sound insulation isn't great. Some evenings you can hear music from nearby restaurants until around 11 PM. The monks across the street ring the bells every day at 4 AM. Running the fan or playing white noise helped us sleep well. Otherwise, I'd suggest one of the smaller backyard rooms without a balcony. If you're after a central place near the walking street, this could be a good fit, especially if you don't want to pay two or three times as much for a five-star hotel.

The location’s great, right on the walking street and close to good restaurants and coffee shops. Our room was quiet, with excellent beds and pillows. Breakfast had both local and Western food, though it could be a little better. The staff were so kind and took care of everything we needed. Seeing their smiles each morning was lovely. Lisa was a particularly warm and pleasant host. 💕

The location made it easy to get around Hue, and our room was clean and well looked after. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us very well and were always attentive and helpful. We had a perfect stay at Hotel Gardénia and would happily come back.

You feel really looked after at Gardiena Hotel. The team gave us such a warm welcome and was ready to help with any request or service. I’d definitely recommend staying here, and hope to spend longer here when I’m back.
