The owner was kind, which is the main reason I wouldn't rate this a 2. Booking tours through the receptionist was convenient, and they offered the same prices as agencies. The location is fine too, near the Imperial City and within walking distance of most sights. The room was much smaller than I expected for the price. With two 20-inch bags inside, still closed, there was barely space to move. The TV seemed decades old, and when I asked for a working remote, no one followed up. During my three-night stay, the room wasn't cleaned for the first two days. They only cleaned it on the last day, and even then the service was worse than at other places. It's inexpensive and works if you just need somewhere to sleep.

A great central base for backpackers. Everything we planned to see was close enough to walk to, and the staff were really helpful and great to deal with.

The service was awful, and the rooms were in terrible shape. Prices went up over the holidays, so the place felt like poor value. Think carefully before staying here.
