Ruby Bistro Hotel

The ginger tea alone would bring me back. I drink it everywhere I travel, and this was the best I’ve ever had. We were staying at their sister place, Hong Thien Ruby, and came here to eat after the staff recommended it. We ended up having meals here three times. The Vietnamese and Western choices were varied, well made, and reasonably priced. We only took pictures on the first visit because after that the food was too good to wait for. Thanks for the lovely meals and service, guys. Looking forward to coming back.

We canceled our stay. The first concern was being told to cancel our Booking.com reservation. Then we were shown a room different from the one we had booked, and when we raised it, she said there’d be an extra charge for the room we’d already reserved. We’ve used Booking many times on this trip and never had this kind of problem. There were a lot of excuses, and when she returned my photo ID, she handed me somebody else’s by mistake, or possibly on purpose. 🙄 I’m proud to be Vietnamese and want to support Vietnamese businesses, but I don’t trust this one and don’t feel it deserves my money or respect. A friendly appearance didn’t match the experience. We should have checked the room before bringing in our luggage. Lesson learned: let someone else give you better service.

The price was good, but I hadn’t realized the hotel was so close to the bars. There was a lot of noise in the room at night. If you want somewhere quiet, look for another location.
