Sơn Home Garden Hue

I stayed for a month in February 2024 to rest and visit Tu Hieu Pagoda, Thich Nhat Hanh’s first temple. I've practiced mindfulness for a few years, and wanted to show my gratitude by going there. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with lovely views of a garden and rice paddies. The staff were friendly and helpful, and patient with my terrible Vietnamese while they were all learning English. There are cafes, a morning vegetable market, and an excellent cheap Bahn Ep restaurant with fresh veggie filling, all within a five to ten minute walk. It’s an easy motorbike trip into town, around 30k-40k on Grab. Nearby, Vietnamese visitors come to the main road to take photos in beautiful traditional outfits and backdrops, which is fun to see and try. One thing to know: people across much of Vietnam play music very loudly from about 9am to 11pm, so bring earplugs in case the neighbors have a party. Noise-canceling headphones are a lifesaver when traveling in Vietnam. I really enjoyed staying here and getting to know everyone. Hope you enjoy it too :)

Right in Thuỷ Xuân incense village, this is a lovely green place to stay. The home is peaceful, with a big lotus pond beside it, and the hosts, Son & Ngan, are very nice :)

The owners are wonderful, full of such positive energy that it rubs off on you. You can tell they love what they do. It's quiet and peaceful here, and I'd recommend staying here instead of in the city.

Chill atmosphere, fantastic location, clean place, and good price. The hostel staff are amazing and provide everything you need. They have a wonderful breakfast and coffee, plus two lovely dogs. I highly recommend it 🍀🇻🇳🇻🇳
