Bong Villa Hotel & Apartment

My two daughters especially loved the swimming pool, and the hotel had a relaxing feel, with attractive design, clean rooms, and friendly staff. We found it right downtown, which made getting around the city easy. The price was very affordable and the quality was better than I expected. We had a fantastic stay in Kon Tum and would happily return. A great place to unwind, highly recommended!

The breakfast was a real letdown after so many excellent ones during the past week in Vietnam. The noodles seemed instant, and all I got was the last bit of cold, undrinkable coffee. We gave up and went elsewhere to start the day. The room had looked fine at first, but it was run down: the bedding and table were worn, the bathroom needed freshening up, and the balcony over the pool was only secured at one end, so it moved freely. Light from the corridor came through the door's semi-transparent glass panel all night. The entrance looked fine, and the long pool through the ground floor was an interesting sight. If you just want a cheap place with good Instagram photo opportunities, it might suit you.

The apartments are very basic, about what you'd expect from a 2 star hotel. I gave the service five stars because the reception girls were so friendly and helped us arrange taxis and a guide. They also helped when someone in our family needed to go to the hospital.

After five hours motorbiking that day, this room was a rough landing. There was visible damp with a strong bad smell, and the hot water didn't work. I had to ask twice for it to be fixed, even after they said it was working, and other reviews mention the same problem. The bath wasn't fixed to the floor and tipped over. Of the breakfast dishes, only two could actually be ordered, and one was pho.
