Flamingo Dai Lai Resort

We had a fantastic meal at the Sky Restaurant, and the choices across local, Italian, and Western food were all delicious and very reasonably priced for such a beautiful place. Quang, the hostess there, made us feel comfortable and offered great suggestions. Trang and Qoung from the restaurants were wonderful too. The staff were lovely from the moment we checked in, especially Lan, Luong, and Huong at check-in. The grounds are stunning, with sculptures, beautiful architecture, and so many striking structures. I can’t understand anyone rating this resort below 10. Wish we could’ve stayed longer, and next time we’re in the Hanoi area, we’ll definitely come back.

The villa was spacious and peaceful, a lovely place to unwind with family. Flamingo Dai Lai Resort in Tam Đảo is surrounded by greenery and felt like a real break from the busy city. We especially enjoyed breakfast. There was plenty of variety, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. Throughout the stay, the staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. It was a fantastic visit, and we’d love to return. A great choice for a relaxing, high-quality getaway in Vietnam.

The grounds are impressive and very beautiful, but the rooms weren’t well maintained and didn’t feel up to the standard expected of a resort at this level. Service and room upkeep both need serious improvement. We knew in advance that the electricity would be shut off late at night. What we didn’t expect was to find no staff at reception when we arrived around 11 PM. We waited for someone to help or take us to our villa, but nobody came. The villas are a long way from reception, and walking there late with children felt unsafe. A resort this large should have visible staff or assistance available at night. That arrangement may suit some guests, but it didn’t work for a family arriving late.

The breakfast buffet had a good selection and was enjoyable, and the spa staff were welcoming and professional. Beyond those positives, the stay was a letdown. I’ve stayed at Flamingo Dai Lai Resort before, when it felt calm and thoughtfully put together. Now it seemed chaotic and cluttered, and the resort has lost its charm trying so hard to cater to families. I wouldn’t return after this experience. Most facilities were closed while we were there, and neither the online information nor check-in had mentioned it. Only the pool by the lobby was open, and it felt hectic. With the downstairs area under development, VR and arcade machines, pool and football tables had been crammed into the surrounding space. The layout felt poorly planned, with wooden check-in booths scattered around the property. The villas also looked dated, needed paint and maintenance, and had a strong musty smell. We were offered a hilltop villa, but chose an apartment because it seemed cleaner, which rather defeated the reason we’d come. We’d booked based on Booking and Agoda photos showing lake or garden views, yet our villa was attached closely to another unit and looked directly onto a road. When we asked to move to the kind of villa shown in the photos, reception told us the resort no longer owned the lake view villas and that they belonged to private owners. If so, why are those photos still used? They misrepresent what guests are booking. Reception apologized and said they understood our frustration, but why haven’t management or the channel manager updated the listings to reflect the current situation?
