Mai Chau Hostel - Bar Restaurant

We paid $18 a night for a private room. There are dorms too, and the private room has AC. The water pressure was great, and the place had a nice, quiet atmosphere near local tourist spots and rice fields. Good Western and local food, plus a bar and restaurant. The restaurant closes around 9:30pm to 10pm, depending on how many customers are there. Laundry service is available, and the owner and staff are very efficient. We stayed seven days, then went to Hanoi for two days to extend my Visa. They kept our backpacks and Motorbikes for us, and we came back for another two nights 😁

The staff were friendly, the food was very well cooked, and the price was quite reasonable. I stayed one night at this wonderful hostel in beautiful Mai Chau valley. The rooms were clean, and the white sheets between the beds gave us some privacy. I liked it.

Hang and the family were lovely, and I was the only traveller staying in the community. I had a private room on the second floor for two nights, and everything was spotless. The AC cooled the room quickly, though I didn’t end up using it. Breakfast and dinner were always far too much food for one person.

Nam, the hostel manager, is really friendly. We played pool a couple of times and he beat me both times. The building is beautiful, and the dorm beds feel private thanks to the curtains. They’re a bit hard, though, since they’re just foam mats on the wooden floor. A great little hostel.
