Libra Hotel

I’d only meant to stay one night because the room looked a bit dated when I first came in. But I slept so well and the shower had good pressure, so I wound up staying three nights. I was in room 203, with no other rooms on the second floor, so it was quiet. There were blackout curtains and the bedding was comfortable, too. During my overseas travels, this was the only place where I got more than eight hours of solid sleep for three days in a row. The staff seemed gruff or indifferent at first, but they looked after me well as time went on and turned out to be excellent employees.

The landlord was easygoing, and being right in the center made things very convenient. The room was missing a few amenities, though.

The location is fine if you want to see the city center, and the staff were acceptable. But the superior room feels a little dated, and the bathroom looks old. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel.

The hotel was clean, and the room was spacious, airy, and cool. The staff were very helpful with their advice. If I’m back in Mong Cai for work, I’ll stay here again.
