Avari Hotel

The interior and pool were lovely, and that's what the stars are for. The rest of our stay was pretty negative. We arrived near the end of the floods, and the receptionist said they'd upgraded us to a sea-view room. But water was pooling inside and leaking through the window frame from the heavy rain. We asked to move, then got shown the same room on a floor below with the same problem. After asking again, they took us to that same room on another floor. The fourth room had no leaks, but only two single beds, even though we were a couple and had booked a double. After an hour of going back and forth and feeling like a nuisance, we finally got a leak-free room with a double bed. On the way there, we saw two other guests being taken to the leaky room, which they were clearly trying to fill. The floods weren't the hotel's fault, and that must be stressful, but the staff seemed disinterested rather than stressed. Even after the floods, asking the front desk a question felt like a major inconvenience. We've been travelling around South East Asia for 2 months and have found hotel staff elsewhere extremely welcoming, accommodating, and kind, including during other extreme weather events. I don't usually write bad reviews because I don't want to hurt someone's business, but this was a very negative experience.

The staff made my stay wonderful, from the front desk and the lovely cleaning ladies to the awesome Chef who makes the best omelets, and the Uncle who brought me hot water. Thank you for your beautiful Gift 🎁. You are awesome people. The facilities are well maintained and the breakfast is healthy. For Nha Trang, this is a Top Hotel. I had a beautiful time here and highly recommend it.

I liked the quiet setting and the location most. The beach is 7 min away, room service was good, and breakfast was good quality. The one thing I'd skip is the lunch box if you miss breakfast. It's just a dry cheese sandwich, milk, and apples, even if you're vegan.

Roosters right beside the hotel, literally 15 feet away, make so much noise that sleeping is impossible. It feels like being in the countryside. I asked for a higher floor and was denied.
