Cam Ranh Riviera Beach Resort and Spa

The food was awful. Everything I tried had a problem: the cereal milk wasn’t cold, the pastries were doughy with a weird aftertaste, and the yogurt was low quality and warm too. The noodle soups were overly sweet, and most dishes were cold by the time they reached our plates. At least the fruit was okay. We decided to cut our three-night stay to one after only a couple of hours. The resort’s response to our complaints was just to offer a room upgrade, an easy way out that didn’t address the problems. Our room was uncomfortable. One window wasn’t sealed at the top, so outside air came in. The AC seemed locked to one setting: we couldn’t change the temperature or airflow direction. The shower kept cycling between cold and warm every 3-4 seconds, and changing from the handheld shower to the overhead one meant getting sprayed with freezing water. There was mold around the sink and shower taps and knobs. Disgusting. The place also felt unfinished, all white with almost no accents or identity, as if it had opened as soon as it could to start making money. The layout was confusing, with no clear paths or signs. There were no safety fences or signs around construction on the only stairway down to the rest of the resort. Arrival was poor and unwelcoming. Someone helped with our luggage, but beyond that it felt like nobody cared. The balconies weren’t properly private, and you could see or go directly into someone else’s room from yours. The wifi was completely open and unsecured, a serious security risk, especially in a place that controls passports. Resorts and spas are supposed to offer top-level service, but this one didn’t meet that standard. It’s unfortunate, because places usually have at least one or two things that make them stand out. Riviera Resort and Spa didn’t excel in anything. Save your money and sanity and stay somewhere else. They say they’re five stars, maybe that means 5/10 or something.

After dinner at the resort buffet, I got food poisoning and became ill enough to need the emergency room at midnight. The resort refused to take responsibility or offer support or compensation, even though there was clear evidence of what happened. It was extremely disappointing from a place that claims to care about service and guest safety. I would never recommend staying here.

The pools were clean and spacious, and never felt crowded, which was great for families. Staff were kind and helpful, and they even offered early check-in and a free airport shuttle. Our room was comfortable and well-kept, and late check-out let us relax a bit longer. We had a peaceful, enjoyable all-inclusive stay at Cam Ranh Riviera Beach Resort & Spa, with excellent service and good value. Highly recommend it for families or couples wanting a quiet beach getaway!

The setting was lovely and peaceful, and I really appreciated the privacy. I stayed five nights in a ground-floor room with a private pool. The pool was nice, though the room itself felt quite old. The food was disappointing and repetitive, often tasting like leftovers. I ended up eating outside most of the time, even though the hotel provides several meals during the day. On the first day, the air conditioner wasn’t working properly. I called maintenance several times, but nobody came at first. One person eventually showed up, couldn’t communicate well, and left without fixing it. It took several more follow-ups before someone finally repaired it. It’s a beautiful location with good potential, but the food and service didn’t meet the hotel’s star rating, and there’s still a lot that needs improvement.
