Waking up to the sea from our balcony room was amazing, but the rest of the stay disappointed us. The rooftop pool looked much better in the pictures, felt dated and dirty, and its bar wasn't open. Breakfast seemed aimed at Russian tastes and was poor quality. Most hot dishes were nearly cold, and by 8:45 there was almost nothing left, even though service ran until 9:30. Paying for it felt pointless. The only staff we found approachable were the cleaners, who were always cheerful and polite. They took our passports at arrival and held onto them. When I needed mine to book onward flights, I was told I could have it for five minutes. I found that unacceptable: if you have an accident, you'll need your passport before getting treatment. They kept them in a drawer at the front desk, which didn't seem secure. A passport is your ID while traveling, and whether a hotel can legally keep it is a grey area. When I explained that I didn't believe they were legally required to hold it and that it was just their policy, they argued with me. Would I stay again? No, not even if it were free.

The floors were filthy, the toilet and unit beside the kettle were dirty, and I found hairs in my bed that weren't mine. At breakfast, the coffee was cold and the cups were dirty. I wouldn't want to eat unless I could see the food being cooked. The kitchen was visibly grimy, and the man handling the food wasn't wearing gloves. The carpet outside our room was coming apart and I tripped over it. We'd spent 74 days so far traveling the full length of Vietnam and wanted a nice hotel for a little beach break. This one looked lovely in the pictures, but it wasn't what we got.

The beach is nearby, and there’s a good restaurant just around the corner. I also liked the rooftop pool and its views. Breakfast could be better suited to Western tastes.

The location made it easy to get around, and the receptionist and security staff were friendly when we needed an earlier check-in. Our room had a modern feel, an open layout, and a spectacular sea view. We’d recommend it and would come back 👍🏻
