The loud AC compressor was the main problem in my room. It made a lot of noise when switched on, and when I opened the unit I saw it was very dirty, as if it hadn’t been cleaned for ages. That’s why I can’t rate the hotel highly. The fridge was set to maximum cold, so my glass of coffee froze, though having a fridge and kettle was a nice addition. I stayed in May 2024 and appreciated the welcome. The location was convenient: I could walk from the train station. There’s a flight of stairs before reception. I’m young and able to manage them, but I wonder about elderly or disabled guests. They won’t be able to stay here.

The wifi on the fourth floor kept cutting out, then went down for the whole day. Apart from that, I’m learning that 6am is a normal start in Vietnam. I should buy earplugs 😎

The staff were very friendly and did try to help me, so I can’t say anything bad about them. The hotel itself felt cramped and gloomy. The room floor was very dirty, with some disgusting towels left on it. Bars on the windows made it feel like a prison, and there weren’t proper windows, just closed wooden shutters. The balcony view was the one beautiful thing, but that wasn’t enough to make the stay pleasant.

The room was dirty, with grimy walls and floors, and the furniture was old. The balcony was small and shared by two rooms. The shutters were screwed shut, and ants were around, even getting into the very old fridge, which barely cooled. Wifi was very bad. The air conditioner worked well, but it hung facing the bed and blew in my face the whole time. The room description listed a safe, but there wasn’t one. Staff only cleaned when I hung the “clean in the room” sign. Otherwise, they didn’t empty the bin, change the towel, or provide toiletries. Breakfast was good, though there wasn’t much fruit. The sea is 1 kilometer away. At most, I’d give this one star, not three.
