Sun Kiss Hotel

After a long journey I arrived tired in the evening, with an Agoda booking that had been paid and confirmed. At reception, the staff member didn’t check me in or explain anything. She looked at her phone, then the computer, while I waited standing and later sat on the sofa. Only after a long wait, when I asked what was going on, did she say the reservation had been canceled. There was no explanation, apology, help, or alternative. She blamed Agoda and said the hotel wasn’t responsible. My booking still showed as active, though, and Agoda confirmed that the hotel had canceled it, not them. I hadn’t been told beforehand. I was left outside at night with my luggage and nowhere to stay. It was stressful and showed no basic consideration for a guest, as well as unprofessional service. In my view, the hotel doesn’t meet four-star standards for service or responsibility. I don’t recommend staying here.

Mr Minh made my stay especially enjoyable with his kindness and attention to detail. He greeted me warmly, handled check-in quickly, and answered my questions with a smile. He also suggested some great local restaurants and attractions. He clearly cares about guests and goes out of his way to make them feel at home. Truly top-notch service.

The rooms were fantastic and quiet, and the reception staff were great overall. The pool and gym are somewhat of a joke, though, and I can’t comment on the breakfast. It may not be a true four-star hotel, but it’s definitely a three-star and very good value at 500K ($20 US) a night. Secure motorbike parking is available.

-1 🌟. Very poor service. Walk-ins seem to get priority, so don’t book online. We booked two weeks ahead for the day of Lunar New Year. The day before check-in, I was contacted and told it was a fake booking and asked to cancel. It seemed they’d made a mistake and given the room to a walk-in guest. They claimed they had tried to reach me, but the number they had was made up. I won’t accept this kind of unprofessional behavior. The place may be lovely, but the reservation team seems incompetent and unclear about what they’re doing. Communication between reservations and the front office also seems broken, and the hotel appears very badly managed.
