Van Anh Motel

For the price, it's okay. It smells of cigarettes, and at 4:30 a.m. there was loud shouting in the hallways. I have no idea what was happening, but once I woke up, I couldn't get back to sleep.

The rooms are a good price, and mine was comfortable and clean. It had a nice view, the aircon worked, and the beach and several restaurants were close by. My one complaint is the shower: you have to step up into a bathtub to use the shower head, and your head almost touches the ceiling. That setup isn't very accessible for older, heavier, or injured people, though it's fine for others.

The hotel is worn out, which explains why it's cheap. I was staying for a few weeks and tried to extend, but they eventually kicked me out because all the rooms were booked. Why couldn't they ask whether I wanted to stay longer? Now I have to find somewhere else at the last minute. They paid no attention to guests who were already there.

Our first night was a bit noisy, so we let the staff know. He helped us move to another room, and we had a wonderful stay there.
