They did try to help, and she arranged a tour for us, which is why I decided to stay instead of booking somewhere else after spending time in a cold room. Still, I felt she was often looking for ways to make money rather than help. The place was hard for drivers to find, and check-in wasn’t properly handled when we arrived. The shower was cold, so after more than half an hour they let me use the public bathroom. Our room was very cold too, though fortunately there was a heater. Since we got in late and delivery wasn’t available, they first suggested we eat the instant noodles in the room, then eventually made pho. Breakfast was poor, with no drinks and no choice, and the kitchen looked dirty. We also found fake eyelashes left by a previous guest. The pool was pretty dirty as well. I understand it was cold and people might not use it, but it still needs to be kept clean.

The bed was super comfortable, and the room was clean. The owners were lovely and happy to go above and beyond. It was easy to get to the main attractions in Ninh Binh and Trang. The bathroom felt a little dated, and the water heater made some noise, but I’d happily stay here again.

We had such a lovely stay, thanks, Van. You helped us with everything, from taxis and laundry to changing money, and even found us an esky to keep the beer cold. We had a wonderful time.

The room was spacious and very clean, and the pool was clean enough for a swim. It’s a quiet neighborhood, so the stay felt really pleasant. The staff were kind and especially helpful with transport.
