The setting was attractive, with tropical plants, flowers, and coconut trees, and there was a great pool with outdoor showers to rinse off. The front desk staff were professional, the bellboys helpful, and breakfast was good. Still, for the price, it wasn't the best experience. As a Vietnamese guest, I felt singled out by security. I was told to keep my room key with me in case they suspected I was a local trying to sneak in. I never had this happen at hotels in Hoi An, Da Lat, HCM, Hanoi, Sapa, Hue, or elsewhere in Vietnam, and I didn't see white guests asked for their keys. I wasn't comfortable with security and lifeguards staring me down. Cameras or other technology could be used before deciding who belongs there. We rented three rooms, and one back door didn't seal fully, so mosquitoes could get in. I know this may sound salty, but it was my experience. I wouldn't recommend the place to friends or relatives.

The hotel is pleasant, but the room categories and assignments felt misleading. We booked an ocean-view room and got a garden view with only a distant, partial glimpse of the ocean. We were told proper ocean-view rooms were kept for returning guests, which seemed to be hotel management policy rather than a front desk mistake. The room Wi-Fi was very weak. A room move was offered only after two days, but we declined to avoid the disruption. The hotel did offer two massage vouchers as a goodwill gesture, which we appreciate, though the original problem remains.

The building is old, which takes away from the comfort, though it seems reasonably well cared for. The garden is maintained nicely, and the room is tidy and convenient. Staff are friendly and the service is good.

I was here before, so I didn't expect to be treated this way, especially in the middle of the day. Around 1:00 PM on January 15, 2026, I came to the restaurant with my young child and sister. We ordered juice and a coconut, had a quiet drink, then went swimming at the beach. When we came back for our things, a security guard rushed over, shouted at us, and aggressively tried to throw us out without letting us speak. He also blocked us from leaving through the hotel grounds to the road, the most logical route, then followed and pursued us in a threatening way. My child was frightened. It was completely disrespectful and ruined our day. I won't come back and can't recommend this place to anyone. Management needs to review security staff training and teach them how to deal with people. It happened at lunchtime, which made it even more outrageous.
