Lotus Muine Resort & Spa

The beach was much nicer than the busy part of Mui ne, and I had a relaxing stay during the week. The hotel and garden were well cared for, though the room could use some renovation. Breakfast was mostly Vietnamese food, which was very local for me, but a kind male staff member offered eggs and sausages and remembered our preference the next day. It was good value for money. Weekends may be more crowded, so I’d suggest international guests come on weekdays.

Lovely room, beach, garden landscaping, and pool. The front desk was helpful, the restaurant food was delicious, and the staff were fun and friendly.

The bungalow was beautiful, and the outdoor chairs on the patios were the comfiest. The staff make them themselves. Everyone was so friendly, always smiling and asking how you were, and they worked incredibly hard. There was always someone sweeping or looking after the property. The beach has strong tides. I liked that boulders had been placed in half circles to break the waves before they reached shore and ease the tide. We took their six-hour Mui Ne tour for 350k per person and had a great time. I’d choose the sunrise trip, since sunset gets extremely crowded. Their spa was closed, which led us to Aroma Resort Spa next door. It was amazing, and we went every day. It’s only a three-minute walk. The buffet had enough variety and was filling. Check the fine print, since they charge for daily water and housekeeping. You may find a big bottle of water for less at the small convenience store across the resort.

I’d strongly avoid the hotel’s massage service. The prices are high compared with the massage places nearby, and I came down with a skin disease after getting a foot massage there. The rest of my hotel experience was fine. The location was perfect and the resort was beautiful. There was quite a bit of sand residue on the bed, and the shower was outdoors, but those things were tolerable.
