I rarely give a business one star when I think it could improve, but this fell well short of what I expected from a five-star resort. The place has potential, though the service and management felt inconsistent across the property. On 8 March 2026, while I was using the gym, a spa reception staff member told me to ‘quiet down’ after I dropped barbell weights. That makes little sense in a gym, and I saw no posted rule asking people to keep quiet. This was one of three visits, and the gym was neglected each time: there were no towels or cups, and the water tank was empty. The onsite restaurants seemed untrained and unprofessional, which made the experience worse. The communal bathrooms were also poorly stocked, with empty toilet rolls and paper towel dispensers. Then there was the drone show at 8pm, which blocked entrance for 30 minutes without any communication. What the heck? The resort feels overly commercialized, with lots of separately managed shops operating to very different standards. That creates a fragmented, unprofessional atmosphere. A resort should make guests want to stay and use its facilities, rather than leave to find better service elsewhere. I hope APEC Mandala Cham Bay Mũi Nè improves staff training, facility management, and service consistency. Otherwise, stronger competition nearby will probably draw guests elsewhere. Right now, I won’t recommend this resort to family or friends.

The rooms are nice and the views are good, but that’s about it. The place is miles from anywhere, and it would be easier to overlook if there were entertainment and decent pools. Most of the pools are in the shade, and the restaurants are bang average.

I’m writing this because my Booking.com review didn’t come through, and I feel people need a realistic picture. This really isn’t a five-star hotel. The room and view were great, and the Manager was very helpful over WhatsApp. But the hotel feels soulless and is past Mui Ne, far from the nice restaurants and from where tours start. A taxi there takes about half an hour and costs around 250k, so that adds up over a few days. It may work for you, but it’s good to know. Staff don’t speak English. That’s okay, but it makes it hard to find things out. They also didn’t know much about tours or bus service, which there wasn’t any of. Simple flyers in English and other languages with key information would help. Some notice board information was only in Vietnamese. I couldn’t tell whether the rooftop infinity pool on building S was closed or unfinished, because of the communication issue. The two central pools are lovely, but even in low season there were hardly enough sunbeds by the bar pool, and no extra towels there. That’s not what I’d expect from a five-star hotel. I spotted some ants and found two cockroaches in the room. There was a kitchenette, but hardly any kitchenware, just two tea cups and saucers and one teaspoon. There seem to be three or four hotel names for what may be one complex, so check the different offers and names. I wish I’d checked TripAdvisor as well as this site and Booking.com before booking. I hope this helps.

We didn’t mind that it was about 10-15 minutes from the center. The rooms were clean, spacious, and nice, and the infinity pools were beautiful. The private beach area was clean too. We were very happy with our stay, and the price was good.

I had a wonderful trip here. The food was good, the view was lovely, and the staff were friendly. 👍 The security team was especially impressive. I forgot my phone 📱 while enjoying the mud bath and didn’t realize it was missing. The team found it and returned it to me not long after. Wow. 💯 Thanks to the security team. 😁👌
