The rooms are really nice and the location is decent, but the shared kitchen was covered in dirt and mold. There was rat droppings in some cups, and the moldy sponges weren't usable for cleaning anything. You need to bring your own dishes, cutlery, chopping board, cups, and washing-up supplies if you don't want to share with the local vermin.

The bathroom was nice and the room was spacious, with everything we needed. The beds weren't especially comfortable, though, and there was hardly anyone around. We spent 10 minutes trying to find someone to check us in. It was an okay stay.

The room we ended up in at Ngoc Sang was large and had AC, a private bathroom, a fridge, and a little seating area. There was no breakfast, but we could use the small kitchen just outside to make our own. The owner gave us complimentary water and made sure the room was clean, even offering to clean it herself while we waited because it hadn't yet been cleaned after the previous guests. She was friendly and seemed responsible. On the way there, she even picked up trash other people had left in the street, which made us feel we could trust her. We'd originally booked a room at the Cattien Guesthouse in Mui Ne, about 500m away from Ngoc Sang Guesthouse. The owner said she'd emailed us that she had no rooms available, then offered a room a couple meters away instead. That seemed suspicious at first, and we'd never heard of the new place, but we followed her there. At checkout the next day, we needed cash because they didn't accept credit cards. The nearest ATM wasn't working, so the owner's brother kindly drove my boyfriend to another one on his motorbike for free. We ended up paying less than we'd expected to pay at the first guesthouse, though it was still expensive.

The rooms are clean, the stay is economical, and you can refill drinking water. It's easy to get to, and the host offered great guidance and help. Being able to cook your own food also made it feel like home. Highly recommended 🙌

The flat is acceptable, with AC and wifi, and there's a shared kitchen and terrasse. But it's very far from the center, and access to the beach is really dirty, just like the beach itself. So it's up to you.
