Van Nguyen Minihouse

I picked this place for the easy walk to the Chill Club kite launch on Malibu beach, and could keep an eye on the wind by watching the trees outside. I stayed a full 30 days and got a pretty good rate for paying upfront and booking the whole month. The staff were respectful and took care of requests like extra trash bags or holding my gear while I checked out. There was a sewage odor, as others had mentioned. Moving the trash can over the drain helped a lot, and I didn’t have that problem in my first, more expensive room. Hot water in the shower takes about three minutes to come through. I enjoyed the long stay and would check in again if I’m back in the area.

The rooms were okay, with a very good air conditioner, though the beds felt a little harder than at other hotels. The fragrance used throughout the rooms was really strong. I’d hoped for more greenery at the resort, but it was mostly gray and sandy.

We had a few really good days here over Christmas break, with no issues. The villas were clean and had what we needed, and the layout felt peaceful. The pool was a nice bonus. Our group had a great time :) If this was helpful, please hit the "helpful" button below.

Our room had everything we needed, even a kitchen, and the price was good. The location worked fine for us. Having the pool right outside the room was a lovely way to wake up, and they have two cute little dogs too :)
