Caesar Phu Quoc Hotel

I enjoyed the fresh air and quiet mornings here. It’s a very calm spot away from the busy areas.

The room itself was fine, but the stay was a big disappointment. I’d been looking forward to three nights, then right after checking in I was chased and nearly attacked by two of their dogs. They also woke me at 06:00 AM every morning, running and playing above my room through the very thin ceilings. On the third day, the remote-controlled scooter I’d rented stopped starting remotely. I spent 40 minutes trying to get it going, including a video call and help from locals, with no luck. I had to take a grab back to the accommodation and asked for a refund for that day and the grab fee. I didn’t even include the full tank of gas I’d just bought, the time lost, or having to spend 4x more on transport that day. They thought my request was unreasonable and said I’d wasted their time, which left me feeling extremely unwelcome and uncomfortable. They promised to return part of my money at checkout, then changed their mind in the morning and gave me nothing. If you want a stress-free stay, book somewhere else.

Four hours before check-in, they called to say they couldn’t accommodate me. They offered no alternatives, even though Booking showed available rooms, and I had to urgently find a place for myself and two children. The way they treated me was awful. I wouldn’t recommend dealing with this hotel, whatever name they’re using.

A little retreat for slowing down and enjoying the simple things.
