The dorms are lovely and clean, and the outdoor rainfall showers and gorgeous pool made me want to stay longer. The owners are so lovely, and they rent out cheap bikes that are in perfect condition. The dogs and their tiny puppies are an added bonus, always roaming around. I stayed four nights and would have loved to extend. Can’t recommend this place enough.

The lady who runs the place is the real highlight, super kind and helpful. And the puppies! The pool and pool table are both great additions to this quiet spot off the main road. I stayed in the dorms, which were comfortable enough and had privacy curtains, always a plus. I also glimpsed the private rooms, which look very nice and are a great price. Book directly with her instead of through booking sites for an even better deal. And do yourself a favor, get a banh mi op la from the banh mi woman up the street for breakfast!

Bonnie was super helpful and made my stay perfect. The dorm was nice, and the other guests were quiet and kind. The shower area is clean and pleasant, with toilet rolls and toiletries provided. You can do laundry and hire a scooter there too. It’s on a quiet street, close to the beach and cheap restaurants, and has a lovely pool. The aircon is set a bit too high, so it’d be good if guests could adjust it. The beds are a bit hard, but I had a very good stay and would stay again.

I stayed six weeks and loved everything about it. The location is central in Phu Qouc, the prices are fair, and it’s very good value. Bonnie and her family do everything they can to make your stay good. The restaurant food and drinks are good and fairly priced, and scooter rental and in-house laundry are big pluses. The dog Beep and cat Tiny are lovely too. The dorm showers aren’t always hot, and the WiFi could be better for video calls if you work remotely, though it’s fine for regular use. Sometimes there was a smaller, loud group of Russian men smoking a lot of weed, mainly outside the dorms. Most left, apart from one long-term guest. That’s not the place’s fault, and it can happen occasionally at budget places. It’s more guesthouse than hostel, with only two dorms, so it isn’t always very social. If you want activities, pre-partying, or a more traditional hostel vibe, 9station is just across the street. Still, I met some of the loveliest people and backpackers during my stay at Langchia. I’d recommend it any day if you want a peaceful, chill place that’s still central and good.
