The staff were polite and helpful, and the service itself was generally fine. Still, the smoking, lack of supervision in shared areas and nighttime noise made the stay much less comfortable, especially for families and non-smokers. The hotel’s low star rating may have something to do with it, but guests should know what to expect. Smoking is allowed inside and around common areas. During breakfast, a man smoked a regular cigarette just outside the dining room entrance, and the smoke drifted inside while guests, including children, were eating. The smell was strong and unpleasant. We also repeatedly saw people smoking at tables where others were eating or relaxing on sunbeds. We had to politely ask smokers to move elsewhere. They usually did, but it was disappointing that this kept happening, and smoking in the lobby and near dining areas made the hotel less comfortable. The pool area also lacked control. Local teenagers often came to swim, spat in the water, smoked nearby, shouted and behaved inappropriately. The security guard responsible for keeping order didn’t react, possibly because they were local guests. If your room faces the sea, there’s a café nearby. Around 3 a.m., we could often hear loud groups of teenagers who seemed not to care that a hotel was beside them and people were trying to sleep.

The location is handy for getting to the airport and close to the night market. The resort has a good pool and a cafe serving food and drinks while you enjoy the sun and sea. There’s no private beach, but you can walk a few meters to reach the beach. The rooms are spacious and have balconies, though I found the shower area cramped. Most staff don’t speak English, so be ready to communicate using a translate app.

The location looks nice, but there’s no beach access, which is a big letdown when the beach is right in front of the resort. The rooms are old and just adequate for the price. The toilet has no proper ventilation, so flushing sends the smell into the bedroom. The balcony has a decent view, but no table, which makes spending time there inconvenient. The doors and elevator are very rusty. It’s hard to judge the staff service because of the language barrier. Very few people here speak English well.

The resort sits in a really convenient spot between sunset Town and Vin Wonders, with the night market nearby. The free Vin bus was a highlight, it was great and felt safe, and the stops are close to the resort. The property is quite old and needs proper maintenance. The pool was nice but also needs work. Some reception and cleaning staff were friendly, while others were rude. Our room was huge, and the sea-view rooms come with a balcony. There weren’t many guests during our stay, so there was no buffet. The food and beverage staff were friendly and gave us lots of choices they could prepare to suit what guests liked. They also had good drinks, and we enjoyed chef-recommended, personalized food.

I was worried by the bad Google reviews and didn’t expect much, but the hotel turned out to feel like home. The rooms were comfortable, the staff welcoming and friendly, and the pool lovely. It faces the sea, with an easy walk down to the beach. I loved sitting on the sunbeds and watching the water, it was so peaceful. The night market is nearby too. I’d definitely stay again if I return to Phu Quoc.
