Vela Phu Quoc Resort

Veronica and the staff were so friendly, and helped us arrange a moped and a packed breakfast for our very early departure on the last day. The breakfast buffet was simple but tasty. We had a spacious, clean room with an outdoor bathroom, and the pool and shared spaces were lovely. Highly recommend!

The restaurant did a nice breakfast, and swimming at night beside the very clean private area was peaceful and romantic. There are two cute puppies too, and as a dog lover, I fell for the place. The resort is a little outside the main town, which suited me because it was quiet and away from the rush. The owners speak English well, respond quickly, and treated us like family. The staff were excellent and really helpful. They do a great job here. I'll definitely come back!

There are small shops, restaurants, and bars nearby, so we could change where we had lunch or dinner each day. Ong Lang beach is beautiful and around 10-20 minutes away, depending on which part you want to visit. The resort lends bicycles for free and provides towels for the pool or beach. Breakfast was quite good, the pool was clean, and the staff looked after the place well. Our room could have been tidier, especially the shower curtain, which should be replaced, but it wasn't enough to take off a star. Veronica was very helpful with all our questions and requests. White Lotus worked well for a few quiet, relaxing days away from the main towns.

Phu Quoc still seems to be in the early stages of becoming a major tourist destination for Vietnam, but this hotel was pleasant. The staff and owner were warm and very nice. I'd definitely recommend it.
