Thao Linh Hotel

We were checking out with four minutes still left on our three-hour room rental, but the elevator passed our floor twice before it finally took us down. By the time the receptionist checked us out, they said we were one minute late and wanted to charge for a fourth hour. I explained what had happened, but the staff kept saying it was the computer system. I wanted to challenge them, though my friend didn't want a scene. It was only another 20,000 VND, but the way the hotel handled it was ridiculous and felt like a way to squeeze extra money from customers.

I've stayed here many times, and this was the first time I'd ever seen that employee. I've also never had a receptionist argue with a guest before. I had lots of luggage and it was dark, so I couldn't be bothered going back and forth. I ended up staying another night, even though I was so angry I wanted to pack up and leave right away. Honestly, I'm furious today. If I owned the hotel, I would've fired her ages ago. She's rude, talks like an uneducated person, greets guests with a face like a steamed bun, talks as if she's from Quy Nhon to Hanoi, and has a goldfish brain. I'm not mad at the hotel itself, just that employee. She is so infuriating.

I booked through vntrip because the price looked cheap, but the room I got was filthy and still had the previous guests' trash in it. This hotel is a scam, stay away.

The room wasn't cleaned once during my two-day stay, and the bed was dirty. At checkout, they accused me of damaging a table in the room and demanded 2 million VND. Thankfully, I'd taken a photo when I first arrived. The facilities were old and dated, and the staff were rude, knew nothing, and offered no help. A terrible hotel.
