Ben Thanh Retreats Hotel

This family-run hotel is away from the bustle of Saigon, with warm, friendly staff. Thanks for everything, Tina! I stayed in the bike da VIP room and was very happy with both the room and the prices, including the free breakfast. I’ll be back for sure. It’s a great spot if you want local life, shops, and places to eat away from the tourist areas. The five-minute walk through a small alley to reach the hotel adds to the charm.

I stayed four nights and found the service brilliant. It’s a lovely family-run hotel, with a personal, more authentic feel than a big corporate place. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the hot shower was nice. The hotel sits down an alley off the main street, so evenings and early mornings were quiet. There are plenty of nice restaurants, bars, and coffee shops nearby, and places like the War Remnants Museum and Independence Palace are easy to reach. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The staff were amazing, and I’d definitely stay again. We had a cute balcony overlooking the alley where the entrance is, and the small rooms were extremely clean. It feels a bit like a B&B. At first, I worried the hotel was too close to the other buildings along the alley. After a while, I loved feeling part of the little community instead of like a tourist. That’s exactly why we choose boutique places over big, sterile hotels. Just be aware that you’ll need a short walk down the alley after your driver drops you off.

We felt very welcome during our last two days in Saigon. The staff were super friendly, our room was clean and nice, and all the main sights were within walking distance. I’d highly recommend the hotel and would be happy to come back.
