We ended up paying for an extra day after asking the receptionist about checkout when we arrived. Booking.com listed checkout as 12pm, like every other hotel, but the hotel’s rule was 12am. I was disappointed by that.

A relaxing stay.

The bathroom was really dirty, and the room smelled terrible, with a strange fishy odor and a stink like a passenger bus. There were no windows, and smoking was allowed in the room, which made the smell awful. I also tried calling the hotline over and over at first but couldn’t get through. The price is very high, and drinks aren’t included. Southern Star Hotel was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Anyone thinking of staying here should think twice.
