Bamboo Homestay Sapa

A little out of town, just the way we like it. The peaceful surroundings are away from the crowds, but transport makes it easy to get around. We had a lovely time, and the view from the room was fantastic whenever it wasn’t covered in mist. The hotel staff were excellent, quick to respond and clear in their help with tours, transport and bus tickets.

My Agoda app clearly showed the two-night booking as “Confirmed.” Three days later, though, the hotel messaged to say it was fully booked and couldn’t host me. They offered either one night in another hotel and one night with them, or cancelling the booking altogether. My trip date was getting close, and there’s been no follow-up or proper effort to sort this out, even though the error was on their side. It’s frustrating and disappointing, and this handling has made me lose confidence in their communication and management.

The attentive service, well-maintained rooms and comfortable atmosphere made this an excellent stay. I’d happily come back.

The views from the resort are fantastic, and it feels much quieter than the center even though it’s close by. The approach road is easy to manage, and the grounds are lovely, with flowers, trees, and little landscaped features everywhere. The rooms, though, are very small and missing basics like a TV and air conditioning. Staff are warm and keen to help, but a few were slow.
