Ha Giang Hotel Sapa

The room felt a little old, but it was comfortable enough. The family who run the hotel were so friendly, and even carried our bags up the fairly steep stairs. It's well placed in central Sapa, close to the Square and lots of bars and restaurants in every direction. They also had laundry service. I'd happily stay again.

It was very cold, though the AC was working. The room wasn't clean, so we asked them to clean it again, but it looked the same afterward, and the rug was still on the floor. The bathroom wasn't very nice either.

I got there in the morning after the night train, well before check-in, and they gave me a room. I only had to pay for one night. The room was spacious, and the price was cheap for a place in the center. There was hot water and air conditioning. The room was a bit old, but that's the only negative.

The address on Google Maps is wrong, so when using the Grab app, it's better to put Hotel Horizon next door as the reference. The hotel is beside a lovely vegan restaurant/cafe, where vegan and non-vegan guests can get breakfast, lunch, and dinner at a very good price. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable, though the place is far from luxurious. There are no lifts or central heating. I used the hair dryer to warm the room a little, but cold hotel rooms are common in Sa Pa. I didn't ask the manager, who is lovely and kind, for a heater, though he probably would have provided one. For the money, it's a fantastic deal, close to lots of attractions, cafes, and bars. I'd probably stay again if I return to Sa Pa City.
