Heart of Sapa Hotel

I was unsure after seeing some negative reviews, but our stay turned out great. The room was clean, breakfast was tasty, and the staff were friendly and keen to help. It’s a small hotel right in central Sapa, handy for getting around, and good for the price. We booked one night and ended up adding another.

The crew really made the stay for us. They were friendly, quick to reply on WhatsApp, and helped with information and a well-priced taxi to the Railway station. The room was clean, the hot water worked, and the air conditioning was fine, all useful in winter. Good location too. I’d book again 😎

The location is the only thing I liked. There’s no elevator, so expect lots of stairs if your room is on the third floor. The water pressure was awful, just a drip, and a shower could take an hour. The sink was uncomfortable to use too, with the tap so close. Breakfast is made when you order, but they don’t have milk. The room was tiny, barely enough space for a suitcase. To me this felt like a hostel, not a hotel. Absolutely horrible.

We stayed four nights and honestly would’ve liked to stay longer. The family who run the place are lovely, and even with a bit of a language barrier, they made us feel welcome. Rooms were very clean, the bathroom seemed new, and our bed was comfortable. The fourth-floor views were amazing. Breakfast is included, with a big menu and decent options. Coffee could be better.
